Be a Mentor - Omaha/Council Bluffs

Community-Based Mentoring

COMMUNITY-BASED MENTORING

Community-Based youth ages 7-14 participate in one-to-one outings and activities in the community with a Big Sister, Big Brother or, Big Couple. Matches plan time together doing things that they both enjoy, like taking a walk in the park, going to a museum, eating a meal in your home, or just hanging out and talking. Life-changing friendships are built through the simplest of moments spent together.

Meeting with your youth doesn't require a special occasion or expensive experience. In fact, we encourage our matches to plan outings that take advantage of our match discount partners

Each match is unique and develops a schedule that works for them. While the schedule is flexible, we ask each match to meet at least four hours a month for a 1-year commitment.
