What made you want to work for BBBS?
I have always enjoyed working for nonprofits and have heard so many good things about Big Brothers Big Sisters. The job description was also very similar to a previous job that I really loved, so it was a no-brainer to apply!
What has been your favorite part of BBBS so far?
The people - everyone has been so nice and welcoming! I'm looking forward to collaborating with everyone on future projects!
What do you enjoy in your free time?
I enjoy cooking and baking - I love trying new recipes and trying to make at least one new thing a week. I also enjoy taking our dog for walks and to the dog park. I just got a Kindle, so I look forward to reading more!

What made you want to work for BBBS?
I was inspired to join Big Brothers Big Sisters because I’m passionate about being part of meaningful change in the community. The mission of BBBS—to empower young people through mentorship and connection—profoundly resonates with me. Positive relationships can be transformative for the youth we serve, the mentors, and the entire community. Being part of an organization that is dedicated to creating opportunities, fostering growth, and making a real difference in people’s lives is exactly where I want to be.
What has been your favorite part of BBBS so far?
My favorite part of BBBS has been the sense of community and purpose that runs through everything we do. From meeting passionate colleagues dedicated to making a difference to learning about the impactful programs that directly support and empower young people—it’s inspiring to be part of an organization where every effort contributes to positive change. I’ve also appreciated how welcoming and supportive the team has been, making it easy to feel connected and motivated in my role.
What do you enjoy in your free time?
In my free time, I enjoy immersing myself in writing and poetry—I’m also an author, and storytelling has always been a powerful outlet for me to explore social issues and human experiences. I love spending time in nature through solo hikes, practicing Innerdance as part of my spiritual journey, and sharing meaningful moments with my family. Reading, especially literature that delves into human rights and social justice, keeps me inspired both personally and professionally.

What made you want to work for BBBS?
One of the things I enjoy most about my job is doing work that enables others to succeed in their goals. I think this is a value that aligns perfectly with the mission of Big Brothers Big Sisters. It inspires me every day to know that I'm contributing to an organization that has such a positive impact on people's lives.
What has been your favorite part of BBBS so far?
My favorite part of Big Brothers Big Sisters so far has to be the positive and enthusiastic environment. You can immediately feel how invested everybody is in the work here, and collaborating with everyone has only been a positive experience for me. It feels like an environment that enables you to succeed.
What do you enjoy in your free time?
I try to spend my free time pursuing new experiences, things like traveling to new places or trying different hobbies. Day-to-day I really enjoy anything physical fitness-related; I try to make that a priority in my life. I also love most creative pursuits, I do some casual drawing and music on the side.
